What Color Is Your Band-Aid
Virgilmvx has shared some VERY important thoughts regarding Band-Aids and tongue cuts.
I once had a thought about Band-Aids. I was looking at a
picture of my son's girlfriend-du-jour, Shay, who is a deep licorice color of brown, almost black.* She had on a Band-Aid that was the color or my skin (I'm basic Wonder Bread white), and it looked silly.
Shay and I decided bandagse should come in colors that actually match the skin colors of real people. You know, kind of like hair dye comes in different colors. You know, for different shades of Caucasian, Hispanic, American Indian, African American, Asian, and every mix inbetween you can think off.
Shay and I, we're marketing geniuses. Now, someone jump on this and do it!
*Oh, alright, this isn't Shay. This is Danielle, a different girlfriend-du-jour, and this pose was taken during a celebration after a play in which Jim and Danielle won first and second places for their roles in MacBeth.

Yeah, my little grandson, Miles, who is African American, bumped his head the other day, so wanted a bandaid. It stuck out like an egg in a coal ben. He was happy though.
they came up with that idea in 1976.
the marketing team cancled it and labled it A SOUR ATTEMPT TO MARKET SURGICAL/MEDICAL AIDES TO THE PUBLICS DIVERSITY OF COLOR.
I agree with the marketing team that cancelled the idea. There are just waaay too many skin colors to even try to match them. But CLEAR Band-Aids are available... and have been for quite some time. If one wants to hide their wound, that is. I usually wear the kids' varieties - bright & obnoxious.
Politically Correct Bandages! What a concept! PCB...wait that wouldn't work. People would think of dangerous chemicals. I'll have to think about that!
Just a note, to keep you paranoid while eating at restaurants:
Many kitchens require that wounds, especially on the hands, be covered with obnoxiously-colored bandages. Guess why.
Durn. I keep forgetting to give props. So here. Have a few.
I would love to have two shades. One for winter and one for summer, when I'm tanned.
Yes. Good idea!
Now you just need a marketing agent!

I am with HeatherMarie on this, I love band-aids with superheroes on them. Great idea, I say go for it!
Right now my bandaid has pictures of bugs on it. My pseudo-niece, Lexi decided I needed to decorate the existing bandage with something a little more shi-shi.
I agree with Heather. Neon purple is best
Bandaids should be colorful with designs. I draw on the plain ones.
well i tend to just use the regular light colored ones... but on occasion i use tiggers
